Signature Borders

I know this should be really easy, and it's a very dumb question, I'm sure... but, could someone tell me how to add a border to a signature?

I do it in another way.

When your signature is finished, add a new layer.
Than pick the Line Tool, and put the weight on 6px (or another size).
Than hold shift and start to following the outer lines of your signature.
Result, you've got a border.

or if you want really thick borders, or widescreen borders you take the rectangular line tool(i think i know it's rectangular something) then you go over the border line. you get one like what's in my sig, though it can be bigger or smaller.

If you want a border all around your picture you can always. ctrl + a>edit stroke (color of choice) and you're done.

i just select the sig area (like with my current, not the corners. square sigs should je be full selection)
then i make a new layer
then edit - stroke (2PX white)
put the layer on overlay
make another layer
then edit - stroke (1PX black)

then you get a border like i have ;)
