Do you mean in that sig? Well, first off. Everything is useless unless it has colors. It wouldn't be nice without a compo. Make it better with effects. So first, find a nice stock. I prefer stocks that hasn't been used by most of the people. A new and unique one. Then choose cool and vibrant colors for it. When you've chosen the colors already, think of ways you can make the compo better. Like adding parts that hasn't been by anyone yet. Be creative and go with the flow of your tag. Don't be against it as it will destroy the tag. Once you're done with your compo, think of effects that could give life to the tag. Like, realistic lightings or high quality ones. Just think of anything that would make you say "WOW" to your own tag.

#1 Never use photofilters while passing 25% unless you know what you are doing.
#2 Don't over-contrast your tag. If you are using color and see too many white spots, it is a problem.
#3 Use different techniques, and read up on some tutorials.

Use tutorials for ideas. But experimenting and discovering your own style is sex. Right krayzie`?

well i'd say 300x100 minimum, i'd say anything over 450x180 or so is too big.. max i go is 400x160 or 170.. i forgot.
there is a new size style goin around, thats more squared looking, somewhere like 250x200 or 300x250.. i don't really know

what i focus on when making a tag (in order)
1. stock positioning- can make or break a tag sometimes
2. effects - duh?
3. flow - kinda goes with effects, i usually do a whole bunch of effects, then refine them to make the tag flow well/look good
4. lighting - if needed, i just usually use the lighting from c4d's, i don't do realistic/nature lighting
5. coloring - very important, photo filters, gradient maps, and the occasional color balances. try to make the colors look pleasing too the eye, and have them all flow together well.
6. text - optional :P

anyways thats how i do.

most lighting in tags now days is just layers of soft brushes set on linear dodge

and flow is just the direction of the tag.. it usually is used to guide the eye through a tag
