Render Tut?

just wondering if any of u Render experts mind posting a Render Tut... preferably on Hair particles ... i've read 2 so far which were'nt much help... :19:

Well, there isn't any real way to capture all particles in the render. Pretty much you just leave out the frizzy hair.

Using alpha channels is probably the best known technique for rendering fine hair. and' you'll be surpised at how good some of the results you can get from it.

Try this link on advanced masking and scroll towards the bottom of the page...but beware it isnt for the novice http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html

Check the same site for a couple of easier techniques using the extract method...etc.

thnx , ya thats what i ended up doin... i used the extract tool.. then went back and used the background eraser (which i just figured out how to properly use) ... it came out decent (i think.. considering i dont know wtf im doin...) im workin on my first sig now which will have the 2 renders i just did.. cant wait to see what everybody thinks... :57:
